Summary
The only thing I could say bad about this top end model is the availability. Around Christmas everybody in NY and California were sold out, so I was forced to make my purchase in Canada.$$$$ Ouch! The camera is great though. Only set back is low lighting areas, and I've ordered the DC light... that's on back order. Glad I didn't get the 230A because the 270A has a greater resolution. I can see the difference, and I also have the color viewfinder. Great machine. I don't regret buying it at all!!!

Strengths
User friendly, great shots, straight to dvd, imported to PC easy (XP), lovely camera.

Weaknesses
Lighting. Needed DC light accessory.Get it before you start filming.
