Summary
For years I have wanted a digital camcorder that has excellent picture quality yet at a price that is friendly to my pockets. Even though all the editing and effects are done through my computer, it is impressive that you can do the same on the camcorder alone. Easy to use for any newcomer (using the [A]"Automatic" function), yet plenty of special effects and freedom for the creative (using [M]"Manual" function.
Perfect for anybody from Beginner to Expert.
Strengths
-Excellent picture. 540 Lines of Resolution makes a difference
-The Digital Still images are impressive despite the 1.33 Megapixel limitation
-Nicely-sized and super-clear 3.5" LCD colour Viewscreen
-Fairly priced considering the amount of felxibilty and options it has to offer
Weaknesses
-The battery does not last very long (one hour), but you can purchase a 2-hour version separately that goes for $120+ CND
