Summary
before i bought this dx300, i did gather all other brand like canon and sony. well, if you really looking for travel design and more function, hight quality and best prices, i think jvc provide this option for you. 540 lina of resolution and 1600*1200 still camera and 3" lcd, i got not complaint for this product with this prices. The most suprising me is heavy duty, i did experience drop from table around 3ft, well eventually it still work, perhaps this is my luck. light weight and palm size will be more suitable for travel use. In addition, after i print the photo from SD ram, well 1600*1200 quality is very very clear and nice, so this is another refer for you to consider, good luck bye bye

Strengths
1)multi function for still camera, i just want to say this is also another full function digital camera as well.
2)very good quality for video and sound.
3)navigator seach for video
4)auto flash plus read eye and sense distance judge, and flash level adjust

Weaknesses
1)perhaps you have to stand by another battery
2)backlight function sound not strong enought, and a bit low quality at dark environment.
