Summary
Nice camcorder with pleanty of features Audio video jacks for easy plug into tv's or devices. But try to practice recording with different vhs-c tapes, some vhs-c tapes playback better then others. I didn't have much luck with fuji brand tapes alot of static video lines on playback. But, my JVC brand tapes play back outstanding , very crisp and sharp quality. Also, you might as well get a few extra batteries, rather then the stock battery nickel - cadmium FB1260...

Upgrade to durelcell dr10/dr-11 or energizer cc5260m nickel-metalhydride for much longer camera operating time. I can say this is a decent camera for the size, palm size easy to learn....it's not a Hi Def or DVD quality but just right for everyday family trips and recordings.

Strengths
Very easy palm size camcorder with battery saver discharge feature before storage. Audio/Video jacks for plug into devices to playback. flip out 2" lcd monitor to aid in recording.

Weaknesses
No built in light or hot shoe style video light...!
No custom title feature for spelling your OWN titles...! ( Generic limited titles built in)
Black and White Eye piece view finder.(Hard to make out in dim light outside shots)
