Summary
I was looking for a MiniDV camcorder that had basic features, was inexpensive, was easy to use and by a reputable manufacturer, this camcorder met all these demands with flying colors. I had done a little research, but couldn't find too much in the area that I was willing to spend. When I saw this advertised in our local paper, it seemed to good to be true. I checked it out at our local brick and mortar and found it attractive and easy to use. I did some internet searches and found the best price $50.00 less then the local store, so I ordered. It arrived in good condition and after a quick battery charge was ready to go. I haven't had a chance to test it in many different lighting situations, but the ones I did, it gave very good results, greatly surpassing my 12 year old Sony 8mm Handycam. So far I'm very pleased with this handy little camcorder.

Strengths
Ease of use. Picture quality. Bright display. Light weight.

Weaknesses
None to speak of, but have to get used to bottom loading, which some say is a weakness.
